A Lambeth Council official who was sacked for cancelling two tickets issued to his illegally parked car has lost an appeal against his dismissal.
The unamed man, was investigated after a report to Lambeth council's confidential whistleblowing hotline. He worked parking monitoring team, that oversees the parking ticket appeals process for fines.
He deleted details of two £60 parking tickets issued to his car, believing that nobody would be able to trace the matter.
But he was was caught after tip off after officials examined database relating to the penalty charge notices. He was fired for gross misconduct last year.
