In the capital of Lithuania, the mayor of Vilnius got fed up with illegally parked cars and parking tickets being issued so decided to make an example of one such car. Video footage shows him driving a tank - yes a tank - over one such car to the horror of the returning owner.
Officials stressed that this was not going to be the way that parking enforcement would continue but was to remind motorists not to park illegally.
Dont tell our councils lest they sack all their civil enforcement officers and start doing the same instead of issuing penalty charge notices.
